He is a founder of CTO as a Service, a company that provides interim CTOs for startups; co-founder of software product development consultancy 1000 Labs with Carlos Morgado (ex-CTO of Just Eat) and Global Star Consulting – the first multidisciplinary consulting company to align modern business landscape with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. While technology was a primary expertise area for Nikolay, over the years, he learned a lot about organisational structure, culture and innovation. Recently he started to actively explore new models for doing business partnerships based on shared values and vision of diverse stakeholders. His ultimate interest lies in the area of creating multi-level organisational ecosystems where every layer from the ground up is connected to the next level and bring the value to it. He also strongly believes that current employment models and general management paradigms are outdated, specifically in the highly-innovative and creative industries, like technology.
In collaboration with partners, Nikolay is growing Global Star Consulting – World no.1 consultancy for enabling businesses to maximise triple bottom line by utilising the full power of people and technology. In other words, advising companies to achieve better financial performance by reinventing themselves to employ human and natural capitals in a smarter way. It should help to reassemble the modern business landscape and significantly de-risk UN SDG delivery by 2030.
Nikolay’s mission and passion are to change the way companies organised and doing business to create a happier, healthier and wealthier world for the next generations. He wants to enable new forms of organisational structures that encourage real innovation, help everyone involved to fulfil their potential and get a fair share of reward for doing what they love. He envisages Global Star Consulting as a prototype of such a company and promoter of this philosophy to others.
