Jonathan (Jonty) Slater is a highly experienced innovation consultant with an in-depth knowledge of global and local innovation process, with particular focus on international development with over 10 years’ experience in the innovation field.
As well as a specialist in innovation processes and technologies, his personal achievements include staring a company that went on to build technologies used by over 3 million users worldwide. Starting and managing a company from start-up through flotation on AIM in June 2005. Jonathan played a key part in the success of a number of multi-year innovation awards including the Global Security Challenge. Jonathan as recently part of a team that raised the largest ethical investment bond for a single Hydro Electrical in Europe.
Now, Jonty advises and supports a number of large-scale innovation programs and works to identify best working practices in the open innovation field. Having researched, designed and delivered of over 400 innovation programs, using different types and design structures.
Jonty has been leading the use of innovation in new areas, in social innovation and decentralized adaption. When not involved in innovation programs, Jonty mentors a number of SME business both in the UK and East Africa on sustainable and ethical business development.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Aerospace Materials Technology and a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy and the Built Environment.
